The short answer
A rule of thumb from an American forum is "under $100 USD", which is CAD 139 at today's rate — so most "under 100" lists answer a different question than a Canadian buyer is asking. Google's Canadian suggestions confirm the difference: searching best iem under 100 canada returns best iem under 100 cad. This page uses Canadian dollars, names the currency on every figure, and says outright when a model is only "under 100" in USD.
1. What is actually in stock on Amazon.ca
Canadian-stocked options with a verified price under CAD 100, in ascending order:
| Model | Price (CAD) | Seller shown | Stock |
|---|---|---|---|
| Truthear Gate | 30.99 | LEAUDIO, ships from Amazon | In stock |
| Moondrop Chu II | 31.99 | LEAUDIO, brand field Moondrop | In stock |
| 7Hz x Crinacle Zero:2 | 37.99 | Linsoul storefront | In stock |
| Kiwi Ears Cadenza | 45.59 | Linsoul storefront | In stock |
| Simgot EW200 | 59.99 | Linsoul storefront | In stock |
| Truthear x Crinacle Zero:RED | 93.00 | LEAUDIO, ships from Amazon | In stock |
The next model up that we can verify is the Truthear Hexa at CAD 125.99, which is why it is not on the list — the CAD 100 line is real, and a "best under 100" page that quietly includes a CAD 126 product is not answering the question.
Two notes. The Zero:RED sits at the top of this band at CAD 93.00 for a dual-dynamic hybrid, and it was listed at CAD 79 in our own records previously — prices move, which is why every number here carries a date. And the Koss KSC75 at CAD 34.42 is a clip-on headphone rather than an in-ear monitor, so it belongs in a different guide even though it is recommended in the same conversations.
2. The imported route, priced honestly
Linsoul is the other realistic route at this budget, and it needs two numbers rather than one: the USD list price your card is charged, and the CAD display price the storefront shows a Canadian visitor. They are not the same number, and treating the CAD display as USD double-converts by roughly 42%.
| Model | USD list (charged) | CAD shown to Canadians | Landed: Alberta | Landed: Ontario |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tangzu Wan'er S.G | 19.00 | 26.98 | 37.77 | 39.89 |
| Moondrop Chu II | 22.99 | 32.64 | 43.61 | 46.18 |
| 7Hz x Crinacle Zero:2 | 24.99 | 35.48 | 46.54 | 49.33 |
| Kiwi Ears Cadenza | 34.99 | 49.68 | 61.19 | 65.09 |
| Simgot EW200 | 45.00 | 63.90 | 75.85 | 80.87 |
| DUNU Titan S | 69.00 | 97.97 | 110.99 | 118.69 |
| Moondrop Aria 2 | 99.99 | 141.98 | 156.38 | 167.54 |
Landed cost = USD list × 1.3947 (Bank of Canada noon rate, September 16, 2026) + GST 5% in Alberta or HST 13% in Ontario + the CAD 9.95 postal handling fee. The Aria 2 row is the trap in both directions: it is "under 100" in USD and lands at CAD 156 in Alberta. The Titan S is the mirror image — under CAD 100 in the storefront display, over CAD 100 landed.
Compare the two routes and our earlier finding still holds: for the models both sides carry, the imported copy is not cheaper delivered. A Chu II is CAD 31.99 on Amazon.ca; imported it lands at CAD 43.61 in Alberta. The import only wins when the model is not carried here at all — the Wan'er, for instance, has no Canadian listing we could verify.
3. Price bands inside the hundred
- CAD 30–40 — the entry band. The Gate (CAD 30.99) and the Chu II (CAD 31.99) on Amazon.ca, with the 7Hz Zero:2 at CAD 37.99. Imported, this band starts with the Wan'er at CAD 37.77 landed — the same money as a domestic Zero:2, with none of the border risk.
- CAD 40–60 — the settled band. The Cadenza at CAD 45.59 domestic, or the EW200 at CAD 59.99 domestic against CAD 75.85 imported. This is where a detachable cable and a reinforced shell stop being exceptions.
- CAD 60–100 — the last stretch. The Zero:RED at CAD 93.00 is the only verified domestic model in this band today; imported, the Titan S lands at CAD 110.99 and is therefore out.
4. What CAD 100 does not buy
It does not buy a measured claim from us. What it does buy, on the shipped specifications: single or dual dynamic drivers in the entry band, a 0.78 mm 2-pin detachable cable on the models listed, and 3.5 mm terminations throughout. It does not buy balanced output, and it does not buy a Bluetooth DAC — that is a separate purchase covered in the dongle guide.

Moondrop Chu II — CAD 31.99, LEAUDIO
Metal-shell single dynamic with a 0.78 mm 2-pin detachable cable; the cheapest verified domestic in-ear with a replaceable cable.

Truthear x Crinacle Zero:RED — CAD 93.00, LEAUDIO

Every row was produced the same way. We searched Amazon.ca for the model, opened each candidate listing, and read four things from it: the price, the brand field, the seller line and the availability text. A listing that failed any of those checks — a brand field that did not match the product, a seller at two or three times the normal price, or a page showing "currently unavailable" — was recorded as unusable rather than quietly included. For the imported rows we read both market views of the store and used the USD figure the card is charged, not the converted display a Canadian visitor sees.
6. What we could not verify
- Whether these prices hold through the next sale window; the sale calendar guide covers what is published about timing.
- Whether third-party stock lasts at these prices. Every row is a dated snapshot.
- Seller reliability beyond the brand field. We check that the brand field matches the product; we cannot vouch for a reseller's returns process.
- Anything about how any of these sound. No measurements, no listening notes, no preference rankings.
